Teenage actor Hudson Meek tragically passed away after falling out of a moving vehicle in Vestavia Hills, Alabama. The 16-year-old was injured on December 19 while on a street in the Birmingham suburb and succumbed to his injuries two days later, as confirmed by the Jefferson County Coroner's Office.
The Vestavia Hills Police Department is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding Meek's death but has not released any public statements at this time.
Meek, who made his on-screen debut in the 2014 film “The Santa Con,” had appeared in various television series, including “MacGyver.” However, he was most recognized for his role in the 2017 movie “Baby Driver,” where he portrayed a younger version of Ansel Elgort's character.
A heartfelt post on Meek's Instagram page described his impact, stating, “His 16 years on this earth were far too short, but he accomplished so much and significantly impacted everyone he met.”
Aside from his acting career, Meek was also a student at Vestavia Hills High School, where he played football, participated in Bible study with his teammates, and had the opportunity to visit all 50 states. He enjoyed activities such as snow skiing, creating music playlists for his friends, and singing in the school choir, as mentioned in his obituary.
Meek's family is preparing for a funeral and memorial service scheduled for Saturday, which will be livestreamed on his Instagram account to allow friends, family, and fans to pay their respects.
