A schoolgirl battling leukemia is set to receive a life-saving bone marrow transplant from her little brother. Ruby Chiege started suffering from severe pain in her legs after arriving home from school on April 20.
Her mum Debra assumed she was suffering from growing pains and gave her paracetamol, but her agony continued. Debra called 111 and was advised to take her daughter to A&E, however her X-Rays came back clear and the 13-year-old was sent home, Manchester Evening News reports.
The Lowry Academy pupil, from Little Hulton, stayed off school the following day as the pain refused to subside. That evening, Ruby fainted in her room, with her mum immediately rushing her back to hospital.
