A teenager who kicked a pensioner into the River Mersey is wanted by police in relation to another assault.
Cheshire police have launched a man hunt for Benjamin Bridgeman in connection to an assault in Warrington that happened on Friday, April 29. They believe the 19-year-old, from Fairfield, has information about the incident.
Bridgeman was jailed for 10 weeks and ordered to pay £500 in compensation to his victim, back in June 2021, after he kicked a 74-year-old into the River Mersey. Bridgeman admitted the attack which was caught on camera and posted to Snapchat, alongside laughing emojis.

Speaking outside court at a previous hearing Bridgeman said "everyone makes mistakes". He said: "Obviously I’m very sorry and that, you know, it wasn’t supposed to happen. I didn’t realise he was 74 years old."
Now Bridgeman is wanted by police again and officers are appealing for information about his whereabouts. He is described as being white, around 5’ 8” tall and of medium build. He has brown hair and brown eyes.
A spokesperson for Cheshire police said: "Police in Warrington are appealing to the public to help locate a man they are looking to speak to in relation to an assault in the town. Benjamin Bridgeman, resides in the Fairfield and Howley area of Warrington, but also has links across the town, as well as in the Widnes area.
"Officers are looking to speak to the 19-year-old in relation to allegations of an assault on Friday 29 April. Bridgeman is described as white, around 5’ 8” tall and of medium build. He has brown hair and brown eyes.
"Anyone who sees Bridgeman, or anyone who has information regarding his whereabouts, is asked to call Cheshire Police immediately on 999 quoting IML1256773. Alternatively, information can be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
