Alleged sexual abuse by a former NSW Labor MP left a young teenager screaming and in pain, a jury has heard.
On Monday, witness testimony was given in the historical sexual abuse trial against Milton Orkopoulous, 65, who is accused of giving young boys in his electorate drugs in exchange for sex acts between 1993 and 2003.
The alleged victim, who cannot be named, told Downing Centre District Court he was invited into the MP's office when he was 14 years old and told to bend over a desk and remove his pants.
The MP then sexually abused him, the jury heard.
"I remember it hurting and me telling him to stop and screaming," he said.
"He was trying to console me, trying to calm me down."
The man said he frequently saw Orkopoulos to "bludge" cigarettes off of him outside his electoral office, and was asked three times to come inside and perform sexual acts in exchange for envelopes of $50 bills and cannabis.
He told prosecutor Cate Dodds he did not tell anyone about the incidents because he was embarrassed and blamed himself for accepting the money and drugs.
He said he agreed to go back to Orkopoulos' office when he ran out of cannabis, which he used to increase his popularity at school.
"Everyone started liking me because I had pot all the time," he said.
"I was only young and it was hard to get."
Orkopoulos has pleaded not guilty to 28 charges, including sex offences against underage boys between 1993 and 2003.
He was the member for the NSW seat of Swansea from March 1999 until November 2006, when he was booted from cabinet and expelled from the Labor Party.
Orkopoulos faces eight counts of supplying a prohibited drug, eight counts of indecent assault and 11 counts of sexual intercourse with a person aged between 10 and 16.
He is also accused of perverting the course of justice after allegedly having one complainant sign a statement to retract an allegation.
The trial before Judge Jane Culver continues.
