A teenager is in a "serious condition" after being pulled from the sea in Dublin.
Gardai and emergency services rushed to the scene at Burrow Beach in Sutton after a teenage boy got into difficulty while swimming at around 7.30pm on Monday.
A rescue helicopter and the Irish Coast Guard team was deployed during the rescue.
The boy was pulled from the water and was taken to Beaumont Hospital where his condition is being described as serious.
A garda spokesman said: "Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of an incident at approximately 7:30pm this evening at Burrow Beach, Co. Dublin, 11 th July 2022.
"A male teen got into difficulty while swimming and was removed from the water. He was taken to Beaumont Hospital where his condition is currently described as serious."
