A teenage cyclist who was seriously injured in a collision with a bus remains in hospital almost one week on.
The 16-year-old boy was hurt in the incident which happened on the Coast Road, in Newcastle, on Tuesday February 28.
His condition is currently described as "stable" by officers.
The road was closed for around four hours following the collision, which happened on the eastbound carriageway, close to the junction with Benfield Road.
Northumbria Police has appealed for witnesses.
A spokesman said: "Enquiries are ongoing and officers are appealing for anyone with information regarding the collision to contact them. They are particularly interested to hear from anyone who may have dashcam footage capturing what took place or the moments leading up to the collision.
"Call Northumbria Police on 101 quoting NP-20230228-0951."
