A teenage boy has been charged with murder while another is dead after a violent brawl over a love triangle outside a KFC restaurant.
The fight that broke out in the town of Casino, in New South Wales, Australia, on Sunday night, involved around 20 people, police have said.
Lachlan Andrews, 17, was stabbed multiple times and died at the scene.
Harrison Hone, 18, was also injured in the brawl, Nine News reports.
He was taken to Lismore Base Hospital in a stable condition.
A third teenager, aged 17, was arrested on a street nearby before being charged with murder, reckless wounding and affray.
He could not be identified as he is underage.
The conflict that sparked the row was reportedly a love triangle involving Andrews’ pregnant partner.
"There seems to have been some kind of arranged meeting, out of that meeting an altercation started with a number of people," Superintendent Scott Tanner said on Monday.
"From the footage we've obtained there was up to 20 people involved in this melee."
Labourer Andrews had recently moved from Canberra to Casino.
It was there that he had learned to drive boats and catch fish.
The teen was described by his family as an “amazing kid with a bright future”.
His accused killer would appear on Monday at a hearing in the Children’s Court.
Andrews did not apply for bail and would remain in custody, until his next appearance in July.
