A 19-year-old has been charged with murder after a man was stabbed to death near Wembley Stadium.
Hamza Iqbal was fatally knifed at roughly 11pm last Sunday on Olympic Way, the walkway leading to the famous football venue.
Joshua Oladele, of Wyld Way, Wembley, has been charged with his murder and possession of an offensive weapon, Scotland Yard confirmed on Monday.
He appeared in custody at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court the same day and was remanded in custody to next appear at the Old Bailey on Wednesday.
Police and paramedics rushed to the scene of the stabbing last Sunday night, where they found Mr Iqbal suffering injuries.
Officers administered CPR before he was taken by ambulance to a north London hospital. He died a short time later.
A post-mortem examination took place on Wednesday, and gave a preliminary cause of death as sharp force trauma to the chest.
Two other men - both also aged 19 - were arrested on suspicion of murder as part of the investigation. Thet have been bailed pending further enquiries to dates in December.

Police said on Monday their investigation remains underway.
