A teenager was arrested after a pair of £150 Nike Air Max trainers were stolen from Sports Direct.
Merseyside Police were called to the branch of the sports outlet on King Street, St Helens, at around 11am on November 8. Staff at the shop had reported that a male had entered the store and left without paying for a pair of Nike Air Max trainers.
An officer pursued the 17-year-old on foot before he was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting. The teenager was taken to a local police station for questioning.
