A teenage boy has been arrested over an alleged sexual assault at a Lochwinnoch play park.
Police have cordoned off the play area on Lochlip Road in the village and have confirmed a 13-year-old boy has been arrested following an alleged incident in the area.
Officers could be seen stationed in the park, which is located in a residential area, yesterday afternoon, with police tape cordoning off the entire play area.
It’s understood the area has been cordoned off since the early hours of this morning.
One resident, who lives nearby, told Renfrewshire Live: “Police were in the park this morning with torches at 5.15am and the whole area was cordoned off.
“Police cars have been coming and going all morning with officers swapping about. Apparently they were here last night too."
