It was also going to be interesting to see how Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins reacted to the news the team signed linebacker Logan Wilson to a big extension.
Higgins, after all, is one of those guys due a big extension of his own with the team soon. Or at least that’s the idea, though some fans would be right to suspect there is only so much cash for the Begnals to spread out and somebody might get left out.
But Higgins seemed to understand this spotlight was on him because he was nothing but positive in congratulating Wilson on social media (and as our instant analysis detailed, the team can easily keep Wilson, Higgins and others).
