Teddy Sheringham has urged Harry Kane to leave Tottenham Hotspur if he wants to secure silverware before the end of his career.
Kane made more history during Spurs rampant 5-0 victory over Everton at home on Monday night as his brace ensured he surpassed Arsenal legend Thierry Henry in the Premier League all-time goal-scoring charts.
The two goals leaves Kane's overall tally currently standing at 176, sixth-highest in the league's history as the England skipper appears to be hitting form at just the right time for Antonio Conte's side.
Spurs currently sit seventh in the Premier League table but have games in hand over both West Ham and Manchester United, both of whom who currently sit above them in sixth and fifth respectively.

If the club are to stand any chance of catching and leapfrogging local rivals Arsenal into the coveted fourth spot, Kane's goals will likely prove to be the difference.
However, this season will mark yet another trophy-less campaign for Kane, who was the subject of intense interest from reigning Premier League champions Manchester City in the summer.
And Sheringham, particularly qualified to discuss such a scenario given he was in a similar position at Spurs before joining United as Eric Cantona's replacement in 1997 - being proven correct with his silverware haul at Old Trafford - feels Kane is again facing a tough decision this summer.
"It’s a tough one he’s got to eye up the situation the same as what I did really," Sheringham told Sky Sports.
"You get 12 to 14 years if you are lucky he’s come to another crossroads in his career where he’s thinking what to do. 'Do I stay at a club that might challenge? or do I go somewhere I know they are going to challenge?'
"If I was advising him, which Tottenham supporters are not very happy about when I say this, you want to play at the top level.
"You want to be playing in Champions League finals. You want to be playing at the end of the season for the league title. You want to be playing in FA Cup finals.
"If you want to do that, I think he needs to leave."
Kane's contract does not expire until the summer of 2024, meaning whoever does try and pry him away from the Tottenham Hotspur stadium will have to spend plenty to do so.
