Former Manchester United striker Teddy Sheringham believes Arsenal will come out on top in the race to finish fourth in the Premier League table this season.
The Gunners moved into the top-four for the first time since the start of the year with a 3-2 win over relegation-threatened Watford on Sunday afternoon, replacing United in the process. The Gunners, who face Ralf Rangnick's side at the Emirates Stadium next month, are now one point ahead of the Reds.
Arsenal have won their last four league games, meaning they are currently the most consistently performing side in the race for the final Champions League berth. United, Tottenham and West Ham United have all flittered with it in recent weeks but have struggled for consistency.

With Arsenal currently enjoying their joint-best winning run of the season, former United star Sheringham is backing them to come out on top in the four-horse race to secure fourth. He has also suggested that "friction" at Old Trafford could dent United's chances.
"I hate to say it but Arsenal looked very, very good [against Watford]," Sheringham told Lord Ping. "They're coming into form at the right moment.
"I know they were playing against one of the bottom teams in the division, but the way they controlled the ball, took the game to Watford on Sunday, they scored three and could've had more. They were very, very impressive.
"So if you asked me now to chuck some money on a team finishing fourth, Arsenal would be my pick. I see the Arsenal players all rolling in the same manner at the moment whereas there’s friction at Manchester United, West Ham have got a tough end to their season and Tottenham are not combining on a regular occurrence, so it would be tough for all those teams [to finish fourth]."
United, who were beaten 4-1 by City on Sunday, have played three games more than Arsenal, meaning the odds are firmly stacked in the Gunners' favour to claim fourth. Furthermore, the Reds face Tottenham in a huge clash at Old Trafford on Saturday, in which both sides will be desperate for maximum points for the same reason.
