After four seasons of chaos at AFC Richmond, Leslie Higgins may have quietly become the man holding the club together. Jeremy Swift, who has played Richmond's endlessly decent director of football (soccer) since "Ted Lasso" premiered, says the character's transformation began when Higgins finally gained the freedom to be himself.
"I think he's always been an optimist," Swift told this reporter in an interview. "In the first season, his optimism wasn't allowed to shine really. Because he had to keep his job. He had a very tough boss. He's got five kids."
