Much was said about the knowledge and experience Ted Karras brought to the Cincinnati Bengals when he arrived this summer via free agency.
To say it’s showing up would be an understatement.
It’s not just on the field, either. Karras, apparently, showed up at the game of Quarterback Jeopardy with quarterback Joe Burow and others and perfectly predicted which play would be the offense’s first scoring play during the win over the Atlanta Falcons this past weekend.
He called the 60-yard seam touchdown to Tyler Boyd well before it happened.
“I liked the play in practice. I liked the name of it,” Karras said, according to Geoff Hobson of Bengals.com. “And it came to fruition.”
A funny note, undoubtedly, and one that stresses the mental aspect to Karras’ game. That’s a big part of the reason he has matched expectations while providing a big boost to the unit.
