Tech & Science Daily podcast: The cause of Turkey-Syria earthquake

A second massive earthquake has hit Turkey’s border with war-torn Syria as scientists examine movements of tectonic plates that caused the disaster.

More than 2,000 people are confirmed dead and a massive rescue effort remains underway.

The initial earthquake measured a record 7.8 on the Richter scale.

Tech & Science Daily spoke with Dr Tom Merry, a seismologist and postdoctoral researcher at the Australian National University in Canberra.
