Tech & Science Daily: Don’t be fooled by fake ‘WhatsApp support’ accounts

WhatsApp users are being warned not to be fooled by a fake account posing as ‘WhatsApp Support’.

Reports online suggest fraudsters are using a verified badge in their profile picture to trick users.

WhatsAapp blog WABetaInfo said the fake account will likely be trying to get important information, like a six-digit code or two-step verification PIN to get into your WhatsApp account.

Elon Musk is being urged to ‘clean up’ Twitter’s digital town square, once his purchase of the social platform is completed.
