I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! contestant Boy George has sparked exit fears following the arrival of Matt Hancock. The singer-songwriter was told by fellow campmate and Coronation Street star Sue Cleaver to "sleep on it" after admitting he didn't know if he wanted to be in the jungle.
During the episode that aired on Wesnesday, November 9, the former health secretary controversially entered the camp as a late arrival alongside comedian Seann Walsh. Naturally, many of the campmates were shocked by the MP's entry, including Loose Women star Charlene White who gave him a grilling.
Boy George also had thoughts and warned Matt he was "really going to get it" before revealing to Scarlette Douglas he would have been close to quitting after his mum was hospitalised during the pandemic.

He said: "You know, beginning of the pandemic my mum was in hospital. I wasn’t allowed to see her. I thought she was going to die.
"I was tweeting Greenwich hospital going, ‘Please look after my mum.’ I used my name, I was like ‘Please look after my mum.’ And they did, she was fine… I feel like, I don’t want to be sitting here like I’m having fun with him.
"It’s difficult for me because, you know, had something happened, if my mum had gone, I wouldn’t be here now. I would have gone when he walked in."
Later Boy George was seen in tears as he emotionally told cameras: "If I had lost my mum, I would go. And I feel a little bit selfish, you know, just kind of… everyone’s so nice to him and I was like Jesus, what we gonna do?
"I don’t want to spoil this experience for myself. I’m not good at hiding what I feel. Especially when it’s something so strong."
Things escalated further, however, that evening when Boy George told cameras: "I don't really know what to do with my feelings, obviously today was quite an emotional one for me. I don't know what it's going to be like, I actually don't know if I want to be here."
"George was having a bit of a moment, I think if I'm honest, most of us are sort of feeling it's a very strange situation to be in," Sue then said in The Bush Telegraph. Later in conversation with George, Sue said: "I think you just sleep on it tonight, look, why he came in and what he's doing here is not our responsibility and it's not for us to take on."
"That's good advice, when did you get so wise," George responded. I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! continues at 9pm on ITV. For more showbiz and television stories get our newsletter here.
