Team USA showcased an exceptional performance at the recent track and field events in Paris, securing a record-breaking total of 34 medals at the prestigious Stade de France. The American athletes' medal haul consisted of 14 golds, 11 silvers, and nine bronzes, solidifying their dominance in the sport.

Several standout moments defined Team USA's success in Paris. Sydney Mclaughlin-Levrone's remarkable victory in the 400m hurdles, Noah Lyles' long-awaited triumph in the 100-meter dash, Tara Davis-Woodhall's impressive win in the women's long jump, and Ryan Crouser's historic third consecutive Olympic shot put gold medal were among the highlights of their exceptional performance.

Despite their remarkable achievements, the American athletes faced some setbacks during the competition. Lyles' unexpected bronze in the 200-meter event, attributed to his prior diagnosis of Covid-19, and the team's disqualification from the highly anticipated 4x100 men's relay final, where they were considered the favorites, were notable disappointments.

Comparing their recent success in Paris to the results from three years ago in Tokyo, where they secured 26 track and field medals comprising seven golds, 12 silvers, and seven bronzes, Team USA's performance in Paris marked a significant improvement and underscored their continued excellence in the sport.
