Team USA earns 1 gold, 1 silver, and 2 honourable mentions at the International AI Olympiad

Team USA Gold silver Slovenia The US Embassy Artificial Intelligence Ljubljana UAE Vietnam

Team USA returned from the 2026 International Artificial Intelligence Olympiad (IAIO) in Ljubljana, Slovenia, with four students earning four distinctions. The team won one gold medal, one silver medal, and two honourable mentions during the competition held from February 23 to 27, 2026. Dale Liu, a junior at Lynbrook High School in San Jose, California, won the gold medal.
