How much do teachers get paid? A rundown of pay scales as teachers set to strike

Teachers are set to walk out on strike over the next two months after thousands of union members voted in favour of industrial action. The National Education Union (NEU) says that thousands of educators across England and Wales will walk out on dates throughout February and March unless a new deal on pay is reached.

The strikes mean that many schools across the region could partially close or close completely on multiple days due to the walkouts. Currently, the proposed dates are February 1, February 14, March 15 and March 16.

Educators have been campaigning for months for a pay increase to match, or come close to, the rate of inflation, which currently stands above 10%. But how much do they currently earn?
