Tragedy struck in Lebanon as several teachers were among the 558 individuals who lost their lives in Israeli strikes on Monday, as confirmed by the minister for education on Tuesday.
One of the victims was Layali Ayyash, a dedicated math teacher who tragically perished along with her husband and two children, as announced by Dr. Abbas Al-Halabi on social media.
Additionally, Suzy Kajak, the esteemed principal of Kawthariya Al-Sayyad Intermediate School, and sisters Zainab and Fatima Haribi, both educators at Shokin Official School, were also among those who lost their lives in the devastating strikes, as verified by the minister.
Dr. Abbas Al-Halabi expressed his heartfelt condolences to the families, schools, colleagues, and students of the deceased teachers, offering prayers for their souls.
