A former teacher accused of trying to have sex with a 15-year-old boy has had his case thrown out of court after claiming he was the victim of vigilante pedophile hunters.

A NSW magistrate on Wednesday found former Central Coast Grammar junior school teacher David Beeby had no case to answer and dismissed the charge against him.
