Teacher told 'teen' he wanted to get in her bed and watch her in shower

A teacher lost his job after revealing he wanted to join a 13-year-old girl in bed and see her in the shower.

Dad Harminder Brom, 37, worked at George Dixon Academy in Edgbaston, and believed he was exchanging messages with a teenager but it was an undercover officer, reports Birmingham Live.

The twisted man repeatedly asked the teen for photographs and even suggested she 'send her mum out' so he could come round and visit her home. Mr Brom also said how he wanted to give her 'Christmas hugs to keep her warm' and wanted to have a 'movie party' with the girl.

Wolverhampton Crown Court heard how Mr Brom first spoke to the undercover officer on online site Chatiw on December 15 last year.

He entered the chatroom as 'Brom Deputy Head' and the officer led him to believe he was chatting with a 13-year-old girl.

He told her he was a teacher before their conversation moved on to Snapchat, prosecutor Michael Tanney said.

They initially exchanged 'non-sexualised' pictures on the app, prompting Brom to call the girl 'cute' and he even sent an image of his classroom.

Mr Tanney said: "He tells her she looks great. He remarks specifically on her being merely 13 and says it's his very first time of corresponding with someone so young."

The former ICT teacher described wanting to give the girl 'Christmas hugs to keep her warm' before asking for a picture he said he was 'owed'.

Brom - of Albright Road, Oldbury - claimed he 'did not do dirty pictures', adding: "I just wanted to make that clear."

The defendant suggested they meet and "watch a movie at a movie party" and asked "what do you like in a guy?"

Mr Brom continued to ask for a picture and went on to offer to help the girl with her maths and computer studies work.

The cop then sent a fully-clothed picture of a girl, with Mr Brom asking if she had 'behaved naughtily' at school.

Mr Brom sent a 'non-sexualised' photograph of himself and asked if she found him 'attractive'.

Mr Tanney told how Mr Brom also said he would get alcohol for the girl during a proposed meet-up and urged her to travel by train to his home.

The undercover officer then sent across a voice note, which Mr Brom replied to, saying he liked her Welsh accent.

Mr Brom also asked the girl to make a video introducing herself, film herself while at school and take a 'full-bodied' picture for him as a 'Christmas present'.

When the officer said she was on a bed and sent a photograph of a girl in nightclothes, he replied "I want to see more now".

During a phone call, Mr Brom, who is currently doing a master's degree at university, proposed visiting her home and suggested she 'send her mum out.'

He also requested pictures with no make-up, asked to see her in the shower and wanted a picture of the girl in a mirror.

Mr Tanney added: "He must have known she was 13." Jonathan Barker, defending, said Brom's risk to children was 'minimal' and added: "By virtue of this offence, he lost his job".

Mr Brom admitted a charge of attempted sexual communication with a child between December 15 last year and January 3 this year. Sentencing, Recorder Warner said Brom's actions were 'very concerning'.

He handed the defendant a two-year community order, with a 40-day rehabilitation activity requirement, 180-hours unpaid work, £500 costs and a five-year sexual harm prevention order on Friday, April 21. George Dixon refused to comment on the case today, Monday, April 24.
