AMARAVATI: TDP legislators intensified their protests over the alleged liquor deaths as they stalled the proceedings in both the assembly and council on Wednesday.
The TDP legislators demanded judicial probe into the liquor deaths of Jangareddygudem of West Godavari district. However, assembly speaker Thammineni Sitaram fumed at the TDP legislators for using metal clappers to obstruct the proceedings. Speaker asked them to behave with decency as they were being watched by the people.
However, TDP members China Rajappa, Gottipati Ravi Kumar, Eluri Sambasiva Rao and Adireddy Bhavani objected to the speaker's comments saying that they were compelled to use the clappers as they were denied opportunity to speak. Civil supplies minister Kodali Sri Venkateswara Rao said majority of the TDP members were actually cool and decent but they were being forced by Naidu to create ruckus in the House.
