TCU WR Jack Bech Confirms Death Of Brother 'Tiger' Bech

22-year-old TCU Horned Frogs wide receiver Jack Bech confirmed news reports that his 28-year-old brother Martin “Tiger” Bech died in the New Orleans New Year’s Eve attack on Bourbon Street.

The younger Bech brother tweeted the following statement.  “Love you always brother ! You inspired me everyday now you get to be with me in every moment. I got this family T, don’t worry. This is for us [heart emoji]”

Jack Bech transferred to TCU in 2023 after two seasons at LSU.  Less than two weeks ago, he announced that he was foregoing his final year of eligibilty to enter the 2025 NFL Draft.

His brother Tiger Bech was also a wide receiver who played three seasons at Princeton.  He was an All-Ivy kick returner who played for the Princeton Tigers from 2016-2018.

After graduating from Princeton in 2021, Tiger Bech worked in New York City as a stockbroker.  He was born in Lafayette, Louisiana and was home for the holidays.

Tiger was one of 15 people who died when 42-year-old Shamsud-Din Jabbar drove his truck into a crowd of people on Bourbon Street on Tuesday night.  Police continue to investigate the incident.

The tragedy caused the delay of the 2025 Sugar Bowl game to be delayed from January 1 to January 2.  Kickoff between Georgia and Notre Dame at the Superdome will be at 4 PM EST.
