Chadwick Boseman’s portrayal of T’Challa in 2018’s Black Panther was transcendent. It was a performance that elevated Black superheroes into cultural history in a way that never happened before. Boseman’s name is synonymous with Black Panther, as RDJ is to Iron Man, or Hugh Jackman is to Wolverine. However, since Boseman’s tragic passing in 2020, the MCU has yet to recast the role of T’Challa. The most respectful way to honor Boseman is not to end T’Challa’s story but to ensure it continues. So, in respect of the memory of Boseman, T’Challa should be recast.
