Taylor Swift’s Wedding Guest Shuts Down ‘Inappropriate’ Rumours About The Ceremony

A guest at Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding has debunked a bunch of viral rumours about the ceremony, as the pair continue to keep details of their big day under wraps.

In case you missed the giant billboards, Taylor and Travis officially tied the knot with a star-studded ceremony at New York City’s Madison Square Garden late last week.

With neither of the newlyweds sharing official updates or details about the wedding, the internet has been abuzz with speculation as to what exactly went down, prompting more than a few rumours to gain steam on social media.

Some of those rumours made their way, via *sources*, to the Daily Mail, which published an article this week under a headline about the supposedly “unglamorous” wedding and “disgruntled guests”.

Sources in that article claimed, among other things, that Champagne had run dry very early into the event, that guests were stuck in long queues for food, and that Taylor’s vows stretched on for 20 minutes during what was already a “really long ceremony”.

While insider claims should always be taken with a grain of salt, wedding guest Tavia Hunt — the wife of Kansas City Chiefs owner Clark Hunt — was quick to nip all the speculation in the bud, shutting down the Daily Mail article and describing it as a “false narrative”.

“Frankly, it is inappropriate to say things like this when you clearly don’t know what you’re talking about,” Tavia wrote in the comments of an Instagram user explaining the Daily Mail article.

“That is hearsay – not truth,” she added.

Speaking to the more specific rumours, Tavia denied the claims about the Champagne and long queues, and said the vows weren’t too long, but were “spectacular”.

“The vows were spectacular — beautiful, heartfelt, and absolutely perfect. It could not have been a more fabulous experience,” Tavia wrote.

Tavia isn’t the only guest who has shared intel in the days since Taylor and Travis’ wedding, with one attendee posting (then deleting) a pic of the invitation, and singer Gracie Abrams sharing snaps of the dress she wore to the event.

A bunch of other stars, like Karlie Kloss, Seth Meyers and Eric Stonestreet, were papped arriving and departing the venue, but with the happy couple choosing to keep wedding content close to their chest, the rumour mill shows no signs of slowing down.

Knowing Taylor, an internet-breaking wedding dump on Instagram is surely on the horizon — but until then, we’ve only got hearsay and sources to go off.
