Taylor Swift tells of romantic holiday in Wicklow in new album Midnights as Irish fans say same thing

Taylor Swift has released her eagerly anticipated new album Midnights, which includes an unexpected reference to a time she holidayed in Ireland.

Irish fans enjoying listening to her new music were doubting themselves after thinking they heard her mention Wicklow on a love song called Sweet Nothing.

It turns out they were correct as the international superstar recounts a romantic holiday to Ireland in the first verse.

“Taylor swift saying wicklow in sweet nothings is a win for irish people everywhere,” one person wrote.

Another said: “The reference to Wicklow in Sweet Nothing!!!! Love it”
