Taylor Swift stops her concert to shout at security guard as she tries to protect fan

Taylor Swift had to break from a hit song during her latest concert in a bid to help a fan who she thought was being harshly treated by a security guard.

The songstress, 33, was filmed singing chart-topper Bad Blood while on stage in Philadelphia. But as she belted out the vocals she was clearly disturbed by the actions of a "security guard" who was trying to deal with an apparent crowd issue.

The footage shared online showed TayTay yell "stop" as the backing track continued. She was able to get back into the groove of the song but her attention was clearly still on the situation as she appeared to shout: "She wasn't doing anything."

While it wasn't clear exactly what caused the outburst, fans online described how one concert-goer was "simply trying to take pictures" when they were dragged away by security.

Others were quick to praise the Shake It Off star for her actions while also continuing the concert.

One Twitter user penned: "Whatever happened, I remain impressed by Taylor’s confidence and professionalism—to be able to just… do that mid-performance, and then go back to performing. You have to know what you’re doing like the back of your hand and have faith in everything on stage. She is a Performer."

Another wrote: "I would hate to be the security guy that got in trouble with her,' while a third suggested: "immediately fired for sure."

The Mirror has contacted Taylor's representatives for comment.

The gig has been making headlines for a number of other reasons too. Fans quickly gushed over the fact potential partner Matty Healy took to the stage for a second time in the week.

He was again on hand to play warm-up to the superstar as he strummed his guitar in a skeleton-design shirt.

The frontman of The 1975 then took his place in the crowd to watch on once again as TayTay worked her magic.

The Brit rocker was snapped near to Taylor's longtime pal Blake Lively who received a special shout out of her own.

It's thought the songstress gave Blake and Betty - who Taylor's song Betty is named after - a shout out during the Friday night concert.

Blake's hubby Ryan Reynolds had trolled the country singer earlier in the week with a sarcastic upload using a tune of Matty's.
