Taylor Swift has showed off the beauty of Liverpool in a new music video following the release of her re-recoded album Speak Now.
The international superstar, 33, was spotted filming in the city at the start of April 2023 as she took a short break from her The Eras Tour. Pictures showed Taylor filming at the Cunard Building, on the Pier Head, with others claiming she was also seen filming on Castle Street.
Following the re-release of the Shake It Off singer's third studio album, Speak Now, on Friday, July 5, Taylor released a music video for a never heard before "vault track" I Can See You, which shows off some of Liverpool's most iconic buildings. The video features actress Joey King and Twilight actor and Swift's ex-boyfriend Taylor Lautner.

Joey and Lautner, along with writer and musician Presley Cash work together in the music video to free Taylor Swift from a vault, which appears to be located inside the Cunard Building.
Tweeting about the video after its release, Taylor Swift said she was "so proud" of the Liverpool-based music video.
She said: "WELL. SO. I’ve been counting down for months and finally the ‘I Can See You’ video is out. I wrote this video treatment over a year ago and really wanted to play out symbolically how it’s felt for me to have the fans helping me reclaim my music.
"I had my heart set on Joey King, Taylor Lautner and Presley Cash starring in it. Joey and Presley had been in the video for ‘Mean’ when they were 9 and 13 and they are back and so ridiculously bad ass!!
"Taytay is INCREDIBLE in this (didn’t have a stunt double!) and shout out to Tay Lautner for being so awesome to hang with on set. The Tale of 3 Taylors.
"I always wanted to direct fight scenes/a heist storyline and had the most incredible time plotting this out with my amazing DP Jonathan Sela. So proud of this one."
In the video Joey is seen leaving a van on Castle Street before "breaking in" to a room inside the Cunard Building (the interiro was filmed in the old NatWest on Castle Street (soon to host a new Elif) which is full of glass boxes with former outfits Taylor Swift has worn on previous tours and music videos. Joey is joined by Lautner as they start fighting a gang of masked men inside the iconic building.
Once Swift is freed from the vault all three of the celebs are seen running out of a side door of the Cunard Building on Water Street. Moments later the door is blown up behind them.
A clip at the end of the video shows a white van driving by Tobacco Warehouse on Regent Street. At the time pictures of Tayor Swift filming in Liverpool surfaced online in April, one fan theory was that Swift was in the city to film a Batman-themed music video, inspired by The Batman, starring Robert Pattinson, which was filmed largely in Liverpool.
Taylor Swift will be playing three shows at Liverpool FC's football stadium, Anfield, in June 2024 with special guests Paramore.
