Taylor Swift stunned fans and onlookers on Sunday night as the singer-songwriter announced her 11th studio album while accepting the award for Best Pop Vocal Album for Midnights at the Grammy Awards. It was Swift’s 13th career Grammy, a number that holds particular meaning for the artist.
Swift fans thought there could be an announcement regarding her re-record of Reputation (Taylor’s Version), but were surprised with new content instead. Instead, The Tortured Poets Department will release in April.

On night one in Tokyo, Japan for the 2024 Eras Tour, Swift explained how the announcement wasn’t really planned.
