Music icon Taylor Swift has been spotted filming one of her latest music videos in Liverpool, just after news of her split from actor Joe Alwyn was made public.
The couple dated for six years after going official in 2016, but reportedly called time on their romance several weeks ago.
The split is reported to be amicable, with sources close to the couple saying the break up was "not dramatic".
Now the Shake It Off singer has been spotted at Liverpool's Pier Head as she took a break from her The Eras Tour to film scenes for a forthcoming single.
The star is reported to have jetted into Liverpool John Lennon's Airport in the Speke region of the city before she returns for her next tour date in Tampa, Florida on April 13.
It's believed that Taylor left the city earlier on Easter Sunday.
Eager fans of the star believe they may have spotted the award-winning singer outside the historic Cunard Building over the Easter weekend as she filmed scenes.
On Twitter, one fan wrote: "Can’t believe Taylor Swift was in Liverpool literally a half an hour walk from me last night."
Another shared: "Turns out we were just around the corner from where Taylor Swift was filming her new music video in Liverpool on Saturday afternoon."
"Guys is Taylor Swift actually in Liverpool filming because I went the other day past the building she's supposedly at and saw a lot of cameras," said a third.
Speculation is also rife that Taylor's new video could be centred on the story of Batman, with many scenes for the latest film starring Robert Pattison filmed in Liverpool.
The new single comes after news broke that singer Taylor had split from her long-term boyfriend Joe Alwyn, after six years of dating. A source told Entertainment Tonight that the "relationship had just run its course".
The couple started dating in 2016 and have kept much of their romance out of the spotlight; in contrast to many other of Taylor's romances with high-profile figures.
Taylor has remained tightlipped about her romance with the actor, only making rare comments about the relationship.
In October she told Instagram fans her relationship formed the inspiration behind her music Lavender Haze: "Like my relationship for six years, we’ve had to dodge weird rumours, tabloid stuff, and we just ignore it.
"So this song is about the act of ignoring that stuff to protect the real stuff."
Last year, Alwyn told The Guardian he didn't comment or give insights into his relationship with Taylor. He said: "It’s just not for other people. And I don’t say that with aggression. I don’t know how best to talk about it.
"I mean, I’m aware of people’s… of that size of interest and that world existing. It’s just not something I particularly care about, or have much interest in feeding, I guess, because the more it’s fed, the more you are opening a gate for intrusion."
