Joe Alwyn was seen looking as cool as ever at his first public appearance since his breakup with popstar Taylor Swift. The couple called time on their relationship after six years of being together in February, which reportedly left him "slighted and distraught".
In recent weeks, his former flame has been snapped cosying up to The 1975 frontman Matty Healy as fans speculate a budding romance between the two musicians. But it would seem Joe has been keeping himself busy, including attending this year's Canned Film Festival in his first public outing following his split.
The 32-year-old British actor was pictured dressed incredibly suave in a black suit, teamed with a light pink satin shirt, a gold chain necklace and black sunglasses. He was seen enjoying a dinner hosted by Celine artistic director Hedi Slimane, as reported by the Mirror.
Sharing pictures of Joe at the prestigious event, a Joe Alwyn fan account wrote: "Joe attended a special dinner hosted by @celine in Cannes last night (May 22)! He looks so good!" Many fans took to the comment section in agreement.
Itsjustinyourwildestdreams replied: "So nice to see him!" Garciagirl03 added: "He looks great!" Bookmarkedbymaya typed: "Looking cool, not looking exhausted for once!" Safiracarvalho017 put: "There's no bad photo of him, he is so stylish."
Taylor and Joe are said to have ended their relationship after it had simply "ran its course." Speaking to the Daily Mail, a source claimed: "The bottom line for the difficulties in their relationship was that Taylor's career took priority over Joe's – which can be awkward for a couple when it's not balanced.
"This drove them apart and ultimately, they both realised they were not on the same page anymore." They added that Joe had been 'finding it hard' trying to become a leading main star while dating one of the world's most famous women.
Another source claims he is unhappy by how fast Taylor seems to have moved on. In an interview with the same publication, an insider said: "Joe feels slighted and is distraught after seeing her budding relationship with Matt, but is doing his best to keep busy and focus on himself."

The source told the publication that Joe was aware Taylor and Matty were collaborating on music and that she had told him they had become friends. The source denied there had been an "overlap" between Taylor's two romances.
