Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are apparently having “a good laugh” about speculation their entire relationship was staged as part of a PR stunt.
ICYMI, a relationship contract between the pair, allegedly drawn up by Kelce’s PR firm Full Scope, recently leaked. In the mysterious document, the pair were apparently supposed to announce their breakup on September 28.
In an effort to quash rumours, Kelce’s reps denied the rumours and engaged a team of lawyers to hold those who started the rumour responsible.
Insiders have since told Daily Mail the pair are rock solid (TBH, sounds like something a couple in a PR relationship would say), and are getting a bit of a kick out of the whole contract debacle.
“Taylor was unbothered and quite amused by this. She usually pays these things no mind at all, but this was some hilarious AI realness. It isn’t even worth an actual reaction from her or her team,” the source spilled.
“She and Travis had a good laugh over it and his camp only got lawyers involved because it is his PR firm listed on the document.”
With their fake breakup date coming up pretty soon, the couple are supposedly planning to acknowledge it, which is a power move.
“They now need to plan something super special and fun on that day to commemorate. Coincidentally, September 28 is around the first NFL game of the season and is also National Beer Drinking Day — so that makes a good date night for sure,” the insider claimed.
The documents first appeared on the r/TravisKelceSnark Reddit page, with the original poster claiming to have seen them on their friend’s roommates’ SnapChat. The Redditor has since deleted their account and the post is nowhere to be found. Hiding from Kelce’s lawyers, perhaps?
The contract claimed the split would be amicable, with an example statement drafted out for the big day.
“Travis and Taylor have decided to part ways after careful consideration. They both value and respect each other’s personal lives and appreciate your respect for privacy during this time.
“They are both committed to their careers and personal growth. They remain friends and wish each other the best.”
Look, I’m still convinced the pair got together for PR. But if you think the machine that is behind Taylor Swift would ever let a PR contract see the light of day, you’re living in a fantasy world. I still don’t buy the couple, but I don’t buy this dodgy contract making the rounds either.
