Taylor Swift Fans Think This Old Video of Travis Kelce Tells a Secret About Their Relationship

Each NFL fan is a sleuth in his or her own way. Some want to find out what’s really going on in the Panthers organization after the Frank Reich sacking, while others—namely, the newly initiated Swiftie-turned-football-viewers—have, er, different questions.

Fans of Taylor Swift, the girlfriend of Chiefs star Travis Kelce, have been trying to piece together the precise start of Swift and Kelce’s relationship timeline. The celebrity couple made their first public appearance on September 24 at Arrowhead Stadium when the Chiefs played the Bears, but according to Swift’s recent feature, they were dating before then.

Swift, who was named Time’s Person of the Year in 2023, said in Time’s profile, “By the time I went to that first game, we were a couple… We would never be psychotic enough to hard launch a first date.”

Following that admission, Swiftie sleuths went to work. They dug up a video from the Kelce brothers’ New Heights podcast that dated back to early September, and to them, this video was the equivalent of the holy grail.

In the video, Travis Kelce talked with his brother, Jason Kelce, and his sister-in-law, Kylie Kelce, about his own dating life.

At one point, Kylie made a wry comment to Travis, “I think you’re doing great on your own," which caused Jason to smirk. Kylie and Jason share a few suspicious grins throughout the rest of the episode which, in hindsight, could indicate the two knew about Travis’ relationship with Swift long before anyone else did.

Swifties, as one might expect, went haywire.

For the last several months, Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift have been supporting each other despite their busy schedules. Kelce gushed about seeing Swift perform in South America on the Eras Tour during Kansas City’s bye week, while Swift was just spotted at the Chiefs’ 27—19 loss to the Packers last weekend.

The Chiefs will face the Bills at 4:25 p.m. ET on Sunday. Swift is on hiatus until February of 2024, when she will travel to Japan for the next leg of her international tour.
