Let’s get something straight here: John Mayer’s latest Instagram post may just be a coincidence with Taylor Swift’s Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) dropping on Friday.
That re-recorded album, of course, includes Dear John, a song that is a thinly-veiled tale presumed to be inspired by Swift’s relationship with the singer and guitarist.
So everyone is reading into that aforementioned Instagram post from Mayer, in which he shared snaps of playing with Dead and Co. at Folsom Field. One shot included a “Please Be Kind” message.
Was that a message to Swift fans? Probably not. “Please Be Kind” is all over some Grateful Dead merch.
Still, Swift fans are all over the comments of that post as the re-released album came out.
