Taylor Swift has sent her fans into overdrive after she appeared to be wearing a necklace gifted to her by Joe Alwyn, despite recent reports the pair have split.
The superstar singer, 33, is said to have broken up with the 32-year-old actor after six years together, having struggled to make things work.
Amid the claims, Taylor appeared in good spirits as she stepped out in New York for a dinner date with her friend and producer Jack Antonoff.
Fans paid close attention to Taylor's stylish look as she wore a pair of light blue jeans with a bejewelled cut-out in the shape of a butterfly on her thigh.
However, there was one part of her outfit which caught the most attention — her necklace.
Some Swifites were adamant the Anti-Hero hitmaker was wearing her circle necklace which has a 'J' initial on, suggesting Taylor and Joe's romance could be back on.
Fans quickly took to Twitter to share their thoughts, with one person writing: "It's ok guys she was wearing the j necklace all is well."
Another excited fan tweeted: "IDK WHAT THEY’RE UP TO BUT IM GOING TO BELIEVE THAT’S THE J NECKLACE AND THIS IS HER DENYING THE RUMOURS WITHOUT SAYING ANYTHING."
"What do you mean Taylor Swift was spotted wearing the 'J' necklace????? WE WON??," another person questioned.
Offering an insight into the situation, one fan commented: "For those not in the know, Taylor Swift started wearing this silver Tiffany necklace with a 'J' on it in 2016, and sang 'I want to wear his initial on a chain round my neck' on Reputation, as well as tapping it in videos - all but confirming it's about Joe."
However, other fans weren't quite convinced.
"That's not the J necklace! Stop lying," one person tweeted.
Another said: "That necklace is literally double the size of Joe's necklace," while someone else added: "So it’s def not the necklace with the j, instead is the one from dear reader?"
Taylor and Joe are said to have had an amicable split after their relationship simply "ran its course".
An insider told the Daily Mail : "The bottom line for the difficulties in their relationship was that Taylor’s career took priority over Joe’s – which can be awkward for a couple when it’s not balanced.
"This drove them apart and ultimately, they both realised they were not on the same page anymore."
The source added that Joe had been finding it hard trying to become a leading main star while dating one of the world's most famous women.
