The closing night of Taylor Swift’s first U.S. leg of her mega-popular Eras Tour was unsurprisingly incredible. And as expected, Swift made the monster announcement that her next album that she will re-release is 1989 (Taylor’s Version).
The clues were all there. The date, the outfits, the Easter eggs … all of it.
But it was still an incredible moment for the 70,000 plus fans in attendance at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles. Swift has been in the process of re-recording her early works to reclaim ownership of the songs after Scooter Braun purchased her former label, Big Machine Records.
Despite fans knowing (or expecting) the announcement, they still erupted in a cacophony of cheers and screams as Swift unveiled the new 1989 (Taylor’s Version) album art and release date on the big screen.
