Millions of Taylor Swift fans will either enjoy today or mark it down as the worst day in history depending on how the next 24 hours go.
That's because today is the day Ticketmaster will be sending out those all important email codes to fans who registered for tickets for the singer's UK and European leg of The Eras Tour.
Swifties had to register with Ticketmaster in advance to be able to purchase tickets for the general sale of The Eras Tour which is coming to Edinburgh, Liverpool, Cardiff, Dublin and London next year.
Today, July 5, fans will be contacted by Ticketmaster to let them know whether they have received an 'on-sale code' or if they have been placed on a waiting list.
Ticketmaster has stressed that tickets will be provided on a "first come first serve basis" as demand is expected to be extremely high - which means those registered in advance may still not receive an on-sale code.
Lucky fans who do indeed get that magic email today, which will be coming from the promoter AEG Presents, will be given information on the concert date they have signed up for.
The unique access code will come in a separate email, the afternoon before the ticket sales begin so don't panic if you don't get this in your email today.
Ticketmaster says: "If you are selected to receive an access code, you will receive an email the afternoon before the ticket sales begin per the schedule above.
"This email will include timing details and a link to where the on-sale will occur, and your unique, non-transferrable access code."
The code cannot be shared with anyone else and is only valid to purchase up to the advised ticket limit (four), subject to availability.
It's not the end of the world if you don't get that email today (although it might seem like it) because if you bought the Midnights album last year between August 29, 2022 and October 27, 2022, you will be able to get tickets early from Monday for the UK dates.
Pre-sale will begin on Monday, July 10 at 10am for London shows, followed by Edinburgh and Dublin at 10am on Tuesday and Liverpool and Cardiff on Wednesday, also at 10am.
Ticketmaster have said they have done the Taylor Swift ticket sale in this way to "filter out buyers looking to resell tickets."
"Ticket Sale Registration is being used to filter out buyers looking to resell tickets and prioritise genuine fans like you, ensuring that tickets go directly into the hands of those who truly want to attend the show," a Ticketmaster spokesperson said.
"It’s also important to note that Ticket Sale Registration does not guarantee access to the sale, or to tickets.
"We expect there will be more demand than there are tickets available, meaning only a limited number of fans will gain access to the sale. The system will then work on a first-come, first-served basis."
Those placed on a waitlist may receive an invitation to join the sale if further tickets become available - so if extra dates are announced for select locations in the UK and Europe.
