After years of speculation, Taylor Swift fans now know what NFL team the pop megastar cheers for on Sundays.
During Swift’s Friday night Eras Tour show at Philadelphia’s Lincoln Financial Field, Swift remarked about the lyric in the 2020 song “gold rush” that talks about an “Eagles T-shirt” hanging on her door.
While some might’ve thought it could’ve been the band Eagles, Swift settled the debate and confirmed that the song is referencing her Philadelphia fandom.
“Guys, like, c’mon. I’m from Philly,” Swift says to a roar from the crowd. “Of course it’s the team.”
Someone in the crowd excitedly yells, “go birds, baby!” as Swift makes her Eagles fandom known.

Swift grew up in West Reading, Pennsylvania, which is considered part of Philadelphia. She has worn a custom Eagles jersey in the past, but now she’s really letting folks know that she supports her hometown team.

Unless you’re a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan who can’t stand the idea of Swift cheering for your archnemesis, Swifties now have an NFL team they can cheer for if they didn’t already.
