Taylor Swift fans are convinced that the American songstress and global superstar has made a veiled dig at Joe Alwyn as split rumours continue to spiral.
Earlier this month, reports revealed that Swift and Alwyn had supposedly called time on their almost seven-year-long relationship.
The news of their alleged break-up came as it was reported that he "struggled with Taylor's level of fame and the attention from the public".
The 33-year-old singer, who is currently on tour around America, looked defiant and more confident than ever when she appeared on-stage in Houston, Texas on Friday night (April 21).
The tour sees Swift explore all of her past hits, all while donning suitable attire.
For the section of the concert that explored her Reputation era, Taylor could be seen wearing a black and red bedazzled outfit while belting out the lead single from the 2017 album, Look What You Made me Do.
When Taylor croons the cult classic, her troop of dancers can be seen dressed up as Taylor throughout her career, all donning different outfits from her string of eras.
With the dancers contained in glass boxes, to symbolise how "the old Taylor can't come to phone right now," the real Taylor walked up to the Lover era dancer of herself, during a time she was dating Joe, and made a rude gesture.
Dancing up to the Lover era dancer, who donned the pink fluffy jacket Taylor wore for her You Need to Calm Down music video, Taylor seemingly mocked the Lover era when she flashed the "L" sign with her pointy finger and thumb above her forehead.
The hand sign is commonly used to represent "loser" or brand somebody as a "loser".
When the photo emerged online, fans were quick to speculate over what it really meant. Because as Swifties know all too well, Taylor loves to drop an Easter Egg.
Fans seem to be convinced that Taylor branding the Lover era and album a "loser" means that the rumours are true, and she and Joe really have parted ways.
Taking to Twitter, one fan penned: "No bc [because] Taylor did the loser sign to Lover, all of her friends unfollowed Joe after they were seen publicly with her… THE RELATIONSHIP IS OVER AND A BREAK UP ALBUM IS ON THE WAY I FEAR."
"Taylor doing the loser sign at Lover is concerning," added a second.
"You know what. I didn’t even consider that she was saying Lover is a loser bc [because] of Joe but that’s equally as funny," penned a third.
A fourth then added: "There are entire theories on TikTok about this [the loser sign to Lover], especially around all of Taylor's friends unfollowing him..."
Taylor's hit 2019 album, Lover, contained many tracks that alluded to her head over heels romance with the British actor, 32.
Songs on the album thought to have been written about Joe are: Cornelia Street, Paper Rings, Lover, Daylight and I Think He Knows.
There were also tracks from Reputation that are thought to have been penned with Joe in mind, such as King Of My Heart, Delicate and Gorgeous.
This comes as Taylor continues the US leg of her The Eras Tour, which sees the hitmaker perform an awe-inspiring setlist of her best-loved tracks to thousands of people in some of the biggest stadiums across America.
The Anti-Hero singer's US leg of The Eras Tour will come to an end on August 9, with the country-turned-pop-singer still yet to announce UK and international tour dates.
