US superstar Taylor Swift surprised Irish fans yesterday by adding another date to her shows in Dublin.
The Bad Blood hitmaker had previously announced that she would be bringing her record-breaking Eras Tour to the Aviva Stadium on Friday, June 28 and Saturday, June 29, 2024.
In an update on Wednesday, the 33-year-old confirmed 14 new shows across Europe, including a third Dublin date on Sunday, June 30.
The surprises didn’t end there though, as the All Too Well hitmaker also named a new special guest.
Sabrina Carpenter was already confirmed to be a special guest on the European leg of the Eras Tour, but now Paramore has also been added to the line-up.
Taylor has been selling out massive stadiums across America since March, with huge demand for tickets.
The tour, described by the singer as a journey through all of her "musical eras”, is a tribute to the music she has released over her 17-year career.
Lasting almost three-and-a-half hours, the Eras Tour covers all styles of music from Taylor’s 10 albums - ranging from country and pop to folk and alternative rock.
With changes to the Irish tour dates, come changes to the dates tickets go on sale.
Thousands of fans across Ireland found out yesterday whether or not they will get an opportunity to buy tickets.
Ticketmaster Ireland confirmed that tickets will not be going on general sale. Fans were asked to register in advance if they wanted a chance of buying tickets, and that registration window ended at midnight on Friday, June 23.
Only a limited number of fans got an access code to the sale. Anyone not selected initially, was put on a waitlist and might receive an invitation if more tickets become available.
Anyone who registered received an email yesterday. The emails confirm whether they have received an 'on-sale code' or if they have been placed on a waiting list.
