AGARTALA: Inter-state trade of Tripura has exceeded three digits in five years after GST was introduced, said Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in Agartala on Saturday before leaving for Delhi in conclusion of her two days visit to the state and Assam.
She said Tripura received only Rs 4.21 crore as Central Sales Tax (CST) in 2016-17, which has gone up to the collection of Rs 982.50 crore IGST in last financial year and termed, "GST collection and devolution in the northeastern states has been a success.”
