A heavily tattooed woman who has had to contend with cruel criticism from online trolls has hit back at those who say her young son must be "embarrassed" by her.
Charlie Hayes, 23, is covered with creative
body art, which she proudly shows off by wearing skin-baring clothes. The young mum enjoys sporting a unique look but has unfortunately had to deal with those who disagree.
Although you would imagine people would be far more open-minded nowadays about what a parent chooses to wear, Charlie has come up against some mum-shaming comments, including from one person who told her, "your kid must be so embarrassed".
Charlie, who goes by the TikTok username @strawberry.hayes, has since demonstrated just how unbothered little Jasper is in a sweet video, declaring, "My kid's too cool to care".
The clip, which has clocked up more than 2.1 million views and counting, shows stylish Charlie out on the school run, clad in a denim skirt, skimpy crop top, and hot pink knee-high boots.
The confident mum, who finished off her look with a pair of pink sunglasses, can be seen holding Jasper's hand, kicking their feet back, and flashing matching peace signs.
As she pulls him in for a kiss on the cheek, both mum and son look perfectly happy, although she did laugh that "he did not like the lipgloss on his cheek".
Many of Charlie's followers were delighted to see her standing strong in the face of rude remarks, with many arguing that the little boy is likely pleased to have such a "cool mum".
One person applauded: "He looks up to you because you show him the best way to express yourself. Keep being yourself and an amazing mum."
Another commented: "They don't care what their parents look like they are just happy to have a mummy and daddy around who care."
A third wrote: "I don't know why there's such an expectation that after having a kid you suddenly can't dress the way you want or your age?
"If you weren't a mother this wouldn't be an issue. You're rocking it don't listen to anyone who tells you otherwise."
