Tate brothers to fight extradition to UK, says lawyer

  • Andrew and Tristan Tate were arrested in Miami and are fighting extradition to the UK , where they face charges of rape and sex trafficking .
  • The charges in the UK relate to allegations from multiple complainants, including rape, assault, trafficking , and offences concerning indecent images of a child, spanning from 2010 to 2017.
  • Their lawyer, Joseph McBride, stated that the brothers are innocent and that their arrest and the extradition attempt are politically motivated.
  • A US district judge will decide whether the Tates meet the conditions for extradition, with the next hearing set for 27 July.
  • The brothers have consistently denied all allegations of abuse and human trafficking, including previous charges in Romania which have not progressed due to legal issues.
