Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles expects to pass the 15 per cent domestic market share milestone "very soon" and remains focused on achieving its long-term target of a 20 per cent market share by FY31. According to Managing Director and CEO Shailesh Chandra, the nearly year-old standalone division aims to drive substantial expansion through capital investments in unexplored market segments, accelerated product updates, and a broader array of powertrain offerings.
Speaking in an interview with PTI, Chandra highlighted that the passenger vehicle division, which became an independent unit following its demerger on October 1 last year, has surged nearly 40 per cent in growth over the past year. Additionally, electric vehicles are projected to account for over 25 per cent of total sales as the business completes September.
