A variety of high-quality produce and products from across the country are being presented during "Kud-Thai Market 2023" which is running at Quartier Avenue, ground floor of EmQuartier, Sukhumvit Road, until tomorrow.
Organised by Gourmet Market and Gourmet Eats, the fair features a selection of products from every province of Thailand, including seasonal fruit and vegetable, rare fruit, meat, healthy food, distinctively local Thai creations and products that have been registered with Geographical Indicators.
Highlights include pork from Chiang Mai's Chom Thong Black Pigs, Thai Wagyu beef from the Mancha Khiri district of Khon Kaen, dried salted Kulao fish from Narathiwat, pure white Hokkaido milk corn, cage-free eggs from Beindy Country Farm, and fresh seafood from fishing communities that practise traditional methods.
Expect to shop for seasonal fruit from famous orchards. They include different varieties of durian, mangosteen, Daeng Suriya red jackfruit, Namdokmai mangoes, organic coconuts, ruby/white pomelos, Rayong pineapple, Koh Sukorn watermelon and many other kinds of melon.
There is a food zone serving over 500 dishes of local delicacies from 100 shops. Among the highlights are traditional Kathu pork leg from Phuket, Chinese steamed buns from Ku Long Pao restaurant in Bangkok, dried fish kidney from Nakhon Thai of Nakhon Si Thammarat, and Chaiya salted eggs from Surat Thani.
Also featured are products made from local wisdom such as rooster bowls and ceramics from Lampang; Yan Lipao basketry, nielloware and brocade fabric from Nakhon Si Thammarat; and Roast Runner, an award-winning Thai coffee.
