Taoiseach wants swift investigation to find if Clare teen's death from meningitis was preventable

Toiseach Leo Varadkar has said he wants a swift inquiry into the tragic death of Clare teenager Aoife Johnston from meningitis.

According to Indepedent.ie, the Taoiseach has contacted the HSE and wants the probe to find out if young Aoife's death was preventable.

The Independent has reported that Aoife spent 16 hours on a trolley a University Hospital Limerick before her tragic death.
