Tanya Bardsley 'considering' RHOC return after 'great time' on spin-off

Tanya Bardsley says she's "considering" whether to return to Real Housewives of Cheshire (RHOC) after having such a great time filming a spin-off show with her former co-stars.

The TV favourite, 41, quit the programme in 2021 after battling health and having a breakdown, but this week it was revealed that Tanya is starring in a special edition of the show, called The Real Housewives of Cheshire: Christmas Cruising.

Ester Dee is also returning and the pair were joined on a glamourous holiday by Lauren Simon, Lystra Adams, Nicole Sealey and other stars from the ITVBe show.

Due to her fear of boats and water, Tanya joined her pals in Mexico after the cruise, and said the spin-off was a "once in a lifetime opportunity", when speaking to the Mirror at the ITV Palooza.

When asked about her feelings on returning to RHOC, the mum-of-four said: "I'm still thinking about it, because two of my boys are in football academies and it's a lot and I've got businesses. But I had such a great time, I'm considering, but I don't know."

When asked what it was like to be in front of the cameras once again, Tanya, who is married to footballer Phil Bardsley, said: "I never really noticed cameras, I think it might be part of my ADHD.

Tanya was on RHOC between 2015 and 2021 (ITV)

"In the beginning of Housewives my mum and Phil said 'please don't do it' and I was like 'I'm going to do it' and it was like 'don't be yourself' because I just say anything, luckily it's worked out for me."

The former model admits keeping her part in the spin-off secret was "really hard", adding: "when people asked me I have been biting my own lip."

When asked for a sneak peak of the spin-off, Tanya joked: "I didn't chuck anyone overboard, someone might have done, but I didn't. I think it's going to be hilarious."

Speaking previously about her departure from RHOC, Tanya described how she had a breakdown which led to slowing down her busy life.

Talking to the Daily Star in August, the business woman said: "I'd just been diagnosed with ADHD and had the seizure.

"The doctors said I couldn't have any stress and then I left the Housewives and got rid of the shop.

"I just went back to basics, I had a breakdown and sort of breaking free now, I might eventually get another shop back."

She added: "Part of ADHD, I was always taking on more stuff and with the Housewives, I have enough arguments in my own head so I don't have any space to have any other arguments with other people."

As well as her Housewives co-stars, Tanya is friends with Coleen Rooney, and the pair recently enjoyed a wild evening out in Dubai with their husbands, which included Coleen balancing a shot glass on her head.

When asked how she would feel watching her pal's Wagatha Christie trial dramatized in an upcoming Channel 4 show, Tanya told the Mirror: "I am friends with Coleen but I don't know anything about the TV show because when we are together we just talk about our kids."
